This is a natural essential oil that is obtained by cold pressing of fruit peel from Citrus bergamia, followed by distillation of the oil to reduce levels of furocoumarins.

Bergamot essential oil is a citrus oil extracted from the peel of the bergamot orange fruit (Citrus bergamia). It is named after the Italian city of Bergamo, where the fruit was originally cultivated.
