KOH, also known as Caustic Potash, suitable for use in soap making and most often used for liquid soaps, or dual lye type formulations.

Highly alkaline, KOH is classified as dangerous goods for shipping.  

Potassium Hydroxide is highly alkaline, corrosive, and classified as dangerous goods for transportation. When making a solution, it must be added to the water/liquid, never the other way round. Misuse can result in serious injury. Full protective clothing including mask, goggles, footwear, gloves and clothing that covers all areas of skin, is essential when handling or using this chemical. Fumes will be given off that can cause harm therefore adequate ventilation of your work area is essential. It must be stored securely, away from children and pets.
