Refined passion seed oil is typically a pale yellow to golden colour with a light, non-greasy texture that absorbs quickly into the skin. Refining results in a very mild or nearly neutral scent, making it versatile for various cosmetic applications.
Passion seed oil, also known as Maracuja oil, is rich in essential fatty acids and other beneficial compounds. 

The typical fatty acid profile includes:
•    Linoleic Acid (Omega-6): ~70-77%
•    Oleic Acid (Omega-9): ~12-20%
•    Palmitic Acid: ~5-10%
•    Stearic Acid: ~1-3%
The high linoleic acid content makes passion seed oil particularly beneficial for balancing oily and acne-prone skin while providing hydration.

Passion seed oil is extracted from the seeds of the passion fruit (Passiflora edulis) that are collected from ripe passion fruits, typically grown in tropical and subtropical regions. The seeds are cold-pressed to extract the oil, preserving its delicate fatty acids and antioxidants. Gentle refining to remove impurities, results in a clear, light oil with a neutral scent, suitable for cosmetic and skincare products.

Its high linoleic acid is beneficial for oily skin. Passion seed oil provides deep hydration without clogging pores, making it suitable for all skin types. Rich in antioxidants, passion seed oil helps protect the skin from free radical damage, making it a popular choice for mature skin care. It can be used to nourish the scalp and reduce dryness. The oil is also effective in moisturising and smoothing the hair, leaving it soft and shiny. Passion seed oil can be applied to nails and cuticles to provide moisture and protection. Due to its light texture and mild scent, passion seed oil is often used in massage oils, where it provides a non-greasy glide and leaves the skin feeling soft and hydrated.
